NOTICE: The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has retired
the Expedite Bid software after the December 7, 2018 letting. Begining
with the January 25, 2019 letting, ALDOT will use the AASHTOWare Project
Bids software for bidding.
Important notes on
Download/Install of
AASHTOWare Project Bids Software
- This page is primarily for contractors who do not use the Bid Express
service to submit their bid. Contractors using Bid Express should refer to
the correspondence sent by Bid Express and utilize the Bid Express website
for downloading and installing AASHTOWare Project Bids as there are
additional one-time steps required to be able to submit your bid using Bid
Express.
- Review and if needed, print the
Installation Instructions for installing AASHTOWare Project Bids.
Having these instructions will help you in properly installing AASHTOWare
Project Bids.
- The AASHTOWare Project Bids application checks for updated versions of
the software as it opens. For that reason it is highly recommended to
install Project Bids on a computer or laptop that uses the Windows Operating
system (Windows 7 or Windows 10) that will have internet access.
- As a reminder, you will need to set up your
Bidder ID as a part of the installation process for Project Bids. The
Bidder ID is your Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Contractor
Number that appears on the Pre-Qualification Certificate and is also shown
on the cover page of any bidding proposal that you may purchase. This
number should be entered as five consecutive digits with no dashes. (54-321
should be entered ast 54321.) The Bidder ID is how your bid is associated to
your company information in the Bid Tabulation process and care should be
exercised to make sure it is correct.
